ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Bristol Music: Seven Decades Of Sound was compiled and edited by Richard Jones, a journalist, author and publisher who spent six years covering the Bristol music scene for the Bristol Evening Post.

He was the post’s music editor from 1986-1992 and was one of the first journalists to interview Massive Attack on the release of their Blue Lines album in 1991.

He was also a member of the Ashton Court Festival management commitee from 1988-1993 and wrote and published a history of the festival: Court in the Act: Ashton Court Festival 1974-1992.

Richard runs his own publishing company Tangent Books and is a director of Bristol Books CIC.
